IEP-Sponsored Field Trips
The Intensive English Program will periodically offer an IEP-sponsored field trip. Sometimes these trips are free, and sometimes you will be asked to help cover the cost of the trip. On average, most field trips will cost less than $20. If we are offering any field trips during the session, you will receive an email with further details on how to register for the trip.
Here are some examples of past field trips:
- Georgia Aquarium
- The High Museum of Art
- Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield
- Atlanta History Center
- Etowah Indian Mounds
- Stone Mountain
- Coke Museum
- Atlanta Braves Game (baseball)
- Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) National Historic Site
To get more information about field trips, please stop by the IEP Office or email iep@kennesaw.edu.
All field trip participants will need to complete a Field Trip Waiver that is available in the IEP Office.

On-Campus Activities
Conversation Corner
Each session, the IEP holds a pizza lunch to encourage conversation between IEP students and native-speaking KSU students. Students meet and chat during the lunch break, fostering inter-cultural communication in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Global Village
Students enrolled in the IEP are encouraged to visit the Global Village, to connect with other international students that are enrolled in KSU.
The Global Village offers study space, computer lab, and small kitchen space to store your food or warm your food. In addition to offering this space, they host events each week such as Teaching Tuesdays where a student gives a short presentation about their country.
