Welcome to the College of Professional Education

Dean's Greeting

A word from Associate Dean Timothy Blumentritt

The Professional Education division at Kennesaw State University exists to help people enter new professions, advance existing careers, and enjoy life through education. We are committed to providing each member of our community with the education they need to grow and thrive.

Importantly, each and every one of our offerings rises to the standard of education expected from a major university like Kennesaw State. Our instructors are selected from KSU faculty members and industry veterans who are all trained in delivering information in accessible, applied formats. Our curriculum is updated and revised continually. Many of our programs are taught using the HyFlex methodology, meaning students can participate either in-class or online, at their discretion.  We are serious about education.

We offer three groups of programs.

  • Professional Certificates. We offer in-person and hybrid programs in Technology, Health Care, Business & Management, and Legal professions. When possible, our programs are aligned with industry standards, meaning that our certificate programs allow graduates to gain industry certification credentials. Additionally, we offer hundreds of fully online programs in a wide range of technical and professional topics.
  • Executive Education and Corporate Learning. We work closely with the Coles Executive Education team to support its advanced leadership, sales and marketing, and coaching programs. Additionally, we work directly with C-Suite and HR executives to tailor our professional certificate programs or customize educational programs specifically for their staff.
  • Community Programs. We support educational programs to enrich all stages of life. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute offers programs in history, current affairs, and dozens of other topics for people who 50+ young. In addition, it supports travel opportunities and a Community Room for gatherings and social events (like Bridge Club). SummerU offers dozens of one-week camps to K-12 students who want a fun, intriguing week at a university. And our Personal programs support people as they explore their passions in areas such as painting, languages, and fitness.

In all, the Professional Education division at KSU strives to be a valuable education partner to every KSU community member. We are committed to your success.
