Get Ahead of the Curve in HR
If you’re an experienced HR professional seeking certification, now’s the time to enroll in KSU’s SPHR certificate course which begins Sept. 24.
This program will focus on learning materials from the Society of Human Resource Management, the world’s largest HR membership organization devoted to HR management, and prepare you to sit for your SPHR certification exam. Those who pass the SPHR exam before the end of the year will have the added advantage of obtaining new HR certification designations from SHRM at no cost in 2015.
The course consists of an orientation session and four days of intense classroom study. The SHRM materials and SPHR scenarios will also be emphasized through in-depth review and discussions.
Lisa G. Hughes, instructor, will bring more than 20 years of HR experience to the classroom. The executive level HR professional has obtained multiple certifications (SPHR, GPHR) and has worked for companies such as The Original HoneyBaked Ham Company, Towne Services, Inc., TRX, and Nobis in executive management roles. Hughes is also active in SHRM-Atlanta.
Jennifer Henderson, HR program manager, said, “If you are qualified to sit for the SPHR exam, this course will provide the appropriate learning tools that will emphasize the certification’s components. Our goal is to prepare you for this important career milestone.”
