Donuts and Notes
Nothing gets you into the holiday spirit better than music and donuts!
Kick off the season with a free concert and student art show. Hobnob with instructors and students to learn more about OLLI’s extensive year-round offerings. Our Donuts and Notes celebration Dec. 5 contains a wide variety of holiday entertainment catering to elementary school-aged children to older adults.
“We look forward to once again hosting this festive event to ring in the spirit of the season,” said Meg Webber, OLLI program manager. “Additionally, art students and their instructors will proudly exhibit their recent masterpieces. You won’t want to miss it.”
A gallery of nearly 50 unique art pieces created by OLLI class instructors and students will be on display with many of them for sale.
The free event will also feature musical performances by Kennesaw’s Big Shanty Elementary children’s choir, Jeni Michelson from Society Express Band, The Kickers and The Entertainers, an 18-member choir.
Refreshments will be available including coffee, juice, milk and donuts.
“Watching the children perform is the highlight of the event,” said Dick Harp, OLLI director. “They enjoy being there just as much as we do, and it is always fun to see the twinkle in their eyes when the donuts are served.”
