Do You Have Test Anxiety?
The pressure to do well on a test can be too much to handle, especially when it comes to acceptance exams. If you are stressed about an upcoming assessment, the College of Continuing and Professional Education can help. Our Test Preparation classes are an excellent way to boost your confidence and reduce your anxiety on exam day.
SAT Prep
Our SAT preparation courses provide the flexibility to choose online or classroom enrollment. The classroom course covers all sections on the exam while the online courses are divided into Quantitative and Verbal & Science. These courses break down the strategies and reasoning tactics that work on the SAT. The interactive activities provided in these courses are designed to sharpen your critical thinking skills to easily decipher the correct answer.
New SAT Format
In March 2016, the SAT test will be changing from the last 10 years. The College Board tells us that they are doing away with unnecessary vocabulary, removing the penalty for guessing, and the essay will be updated and optional. We are planning to evolve our courses with this update starting in 2016. Please note: If you take an SAT prep course before 2016, it will be for the 2015 exam.
TEAS Prep
We have developed TEAS prep courses with busy college students in mind. The courses are separated into the four areas of the TEAS, Science, Reading, English & Language Usage, and Mathematics, which allows students to customize their exam preparation by selecting the courses that best meet their needs. For the most comprehensive exam preparation, we recommend taking all four courses in any order. Since the TEAS is a large factor of acceptance to the majority of nursing schools, this time of year is ideal to be preparing for the exam for spring applications.
That’s Not All…
The additional test preparation courses we offer include:
- GED
- ACT
- GMAT
- GRE
- MCAT
