12 National Awards from UPCEA
Several representatives were on hand to receive a record 12 national awards from the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA). Our College was recognized with the awards at the 24th Annual UPCEA Marketing and Enrollment Management Seminar — held in Denver at the Marriott City Center.
The premier event is designed for leaders and practitioners responsible for professional, continuing and online education marketing and enrollment management at colleges and universities around the world.
“We are tremendously honored to be recognized with these awards from UPCEA — an organization we value greatly,” said Barbara Calhoun, dean. “This is a true testament to the entire staff of talented and innovative individuals who work tirelessly to position our College for success.”
The big winner was the College’s Summer University brochure. It was named a Gold winner in the Most Improved category. As a result, all Gold winners were judged against each other for a more prestigious Division award. We were honored to have our name called once again as the Division winner as the team of Robert Smith, Davia Rose Lassiter, Rachel Prater and Jason Brown were recognized on stage.
“We are so proud of our marketing team and everyone else involved,” said Michelle Girage, assistant dean.
“Our entire team has worked diligently to develop outstanding programs for the marketing department to promote and build on. We are extremely proud of these accomplishments.”
Bob Hanson, UPCEA CEO, led the award presentation and congratulated the winners following the ceremony.
