A New Record for Awards
We set a new record this year with 24 awards. Several awards came from highly respected adult learning organizations including the Georgia Adult Education Association (GAEA), the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE), the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA) and the Council for Accelerated Programs.
“We are honored and humbled by the recognition,” said Dean Barbara Calhoun. “These awards represent the significant contributions our dedicated staff make daily for the enhancement and furtherance of lifelong learning.”
Prior to this year’s record-setting accolades, the college received 22 awards in 2015 and 17 awards in 2014.
“This is a team effort,” said Michelle Girage, assistant dean. “We share these recognitions with our staff, our instructors and our students. They make our college a pillar in the community.”
