Do you have what it takes to be an ethical hacker? Our program will allow you to enter the world of ethical hacking. Learn to become an expert who systematically attempts to penetrate a computer system or network on behalf of its owners for the purpose of finding security vulnerabilities that a malicious hacker could potentially exploit. By identifying weaknesses in target systems, you will use the same methods and tools as a hacker, but in a lawful and ethical manner to evaluate the target system’s security. Additionally, this class will help you prepare for the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification exam.

We were able to catch up with the program’s instructor, Meenaxi Dave, to learn more about what to expect. Here’s what she had to say:

    Why is this class important?
The CEH accredited course provides the advanced hacking tools and techniques used by hackers and information security professionals alike to break into an organization.

Who are the ideal candidates to take this course?
Anyone concerned with network infrastructure (auditors, security professionals, site admins, etc.).

What are some of the most important items that will be learned?
Labs that mimic real scenarios, more than 2,200 commonly used hacking tools to immerse you in the hacker world, over 1,685 graphically rich, specially designed slides to help you grasp complex security concepts in depth.

What is the job market like for this field?
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, information security analysts, which includes ethical hackers, can expect to see jobs increase by 28% by 2026. The median annual pay for this role is $98,350.

What other information should students be aware of regarding this course?
The CEH brochure and outline information is a great resource to learn more about what to expect in this program. Additionally, KSU is an officially Accredited Training Center for the EC-Council meeting strict standards of excellence for delivering instructor-led training.
