New Courses Approved for VA Education Benefits
We have added the following to our certificate programs approved for VA Education Benefits: AutoCAD Advanced, Ethical Hacker, and Security Management Professional. Active duty and honorably discharged members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and National Guard may qualify for military education benefits. These benefits may provide reimbursement for certificate programs, based upon GI Bill coverage and length of service.
“Continuing education programs offer something for everyone. These programs are stepping stones to building a successful career,” Dean Barbara Calhoun said.
In the AutoCAD Advanced course, students will advance their skills in the AutoCAD workspace and gain the final pieces of knowledge need to pursue the Autodesk certification after the class. In class, students will create advanced dynamic blocks and attributes and learn about sheet sets. A hands-on project is incorporated and can be used for a professional portfolio.
Ethical Hacker is for those interested in becoming an expert who systematically attempts to penetrate a computer system or network on behalf of its owners for the purpose of finding security vulnerabilities that a malicious hacker could potentially exploit. By identifying weaknesses in target systems, students will use the same methods and tolls as a hacker, but in a lawful and ethical manner to evaluate the target system’s security.
