Dean’s Desk: CPE Ranked in SHRM’s Top Enrollment Institutions
Good news in the mail is always welcome. Yesterday, I was pleased to receive a letter from the Society for Human Relations Management (SHRM) informing me that KSU’s College of Professional Education has been named as a Top 20 Institution for Enrollments in the 2018 SHRM Learning System. We ranked number eight out of over 200 institutions. Rice University led the way. The University of Georgia, ranked 20, was the only other Georgia school in the top 20.

To me, this solid national ranking is quite exciting. To my longer-tenured CPE colleagues, this is old news. They tell me that we have been ranked in the top ten for probably seven or eight years straight. Because it is quite an achievement to be recognized in this list, I still think it’s pretty cool.
It turns out that SHRM is a great partner with CPE in more ways than one. Our own Dan Stotz, Executive Director of Executive Education, just completed a three-year term on the SHRM-Atlanta Board of Directors. He has nothing but good things to say about the association, particularly the staff and networking opportunities.
The Human Resources Management SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certificate is desired by more employers than any other professional designation. Next in line is the Project Management Professional designation. We are proud to partner with SHRM, an influential voice in everything involving the workplace, to provide outstanding education for HR professionals.
