CompTIA A+ Certification Preparation Intermediate – Online (Self Paced)

This Intermediate course picks up where the Basic course left off, taking you right into the PC. You’ll start with detailed information on installing and configuring hard drives and removable drives, and then spend the rest of the course knee-deep in Windows. You’ll learn about the operating system from installation to operations, maintenance to troubleshooting. The course finishes with an in-depth look into installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting printers.
Prerequisite: CompTIA A+ Certification Preparation Basic

- Discuss the hard drive.
- Explore removable media options.
- Learn how to install, organzie, and understand the Windows operating system.
- Get comfortable working with a command line interface.
- Optimize Windows for maximum performance.
- Learn about printer technologies and how to install and maintain printers.

Requirements: Internet access, e-mail, Firefox or Internet Explorer web browser, and a Windows PC that you can experiment on (not your primary computer).
You will need to create a login for your online classroom. Go to www.ed2go.com/ksuconed. Find your course by browsing the catalog or using the search bar. Click the ‘Add to Cart’ button for the ‘Self-Paced’ class. This site does not accept payments – you will not be charged here. Create a Username and Password. Once you pay and add your class at the classroom site, you will be verified to access your class after 5PM on Wednesday. You must make an 80 or higher on the final exam (online) to successfully complete the course. You may only take the exam once.
