Fikera Gerald
Fikera Gerald graduated from Marion County Practical Nursing Program. I’ve been a nurse in various areas of nursing for 30 years. My specialty has been pediatric and adolescent medicine. Currently, I have been a high school nurse for the last 15 years. CPR/First Aid/AED/Stop the Bleed instructor, hearing and vison trained and IV therapy and phlebotomy trained as well.
Working in a high school allows me to educate our students on treatment and care of their health. From diabetes care, avoiding seizure triggers, to simple wound care. My approach is centered on empathy, education and empowerment-helping students and families feel supported and informed every day.
During my free time, I like to read, watch movies, and play with my fur baby Cream.
