Information for Educators:
In the State of Georgia, teachers are required to complete 10 continuing education units (CEUs) every 5 years in order to retain their teaching certificates.
Step One – Register for one or more courses.
GPSC will now accept any course we offer that earns CEUs… you are not restricted to just these educator specific courses.
Step Two – Successfully complete the course.
Step Three – Watch for a Certificate of Completion from us in the mail:
The certificate that can be printed from the online classroom site is not acceptable for renewal.
Monthly: Certificates are mailed after the final exam deadline and after the extension period. If you are completing a Certificate Program (a series of courses), your final certificate will also be mailed after the extension period, when the course closes. If your home address has changed, please let us know.
Self-Paced: Certificates are mailed on the 1st business day of each month for all courses completed during the prior month.
Step Four – Copy and send the certificate
After you finish one of these courses, copy the certificate that we mail you and send the copy to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission for Educator CEU credit. They can be submitted by postal mail, email, or uploaded if you set up a MyPSC account: https://mypsc.gapsc.org/FAQ.aspx.
