CPE Summer Camp Assistant
Description
CPE Summer Camp Assistants provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment for campers at KSU’s Community and Professional Education by supporting our instructors during themed weeklong summer camps for high schoolers. Camps will run June 1st - July 24th, 2026. This position is slated to work Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm for 35 hours per week during camps. All CPE Summer Camp Assistants must complete mandatory orientation; dates will be provided during interview process.
Responsibilities
- Assist camp instructors in organizing and leading a variety of group activities.
- Ensure that classrooms are kept clean and orderly.
- Understand emergency protocol and procedures.
- Identify and respond appropriately to behavioral issues and report concerns to camp leadership.
- Assist in maintaining accurate camper records and attendance.
- Assist with camper arrival, lunch, and dismissal.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- First Aid and CPR training provided upon hire by the university.

- Able to lead, plan, and facilitate group activities.
