Chapter 11 will present students with the verb meaning “to be,” and students will study this verb in describing location and temporary conditions. The lesson will further extend into the application of the verb in expressing actions that are happening in real time. In Chapter 12 students will study how to express dates as well as the names of the months of the year. Students will then identify various celebrations and events that take place during specific months. Each chapter will include a “Cultural Capsule” in which specific components of Spanish/Latino culture will be examined and discussed.
