We offer a variety of options for financing your professional education. Select each section to expand it for more information.

Discounts

Open House Discount (only eligible for attendees)

Attend the Open House and receive a discount on our courses. Restrictions: The discount coupon is valid for College of Professional Education courses. Cannot be combined with any other discount (including payment plan options), but may be applied to more than one course. Our standard discount is 10% with the exception of the following courses to which a $500 discount will be applied: Certified Financial Planner™ Program, Culinary Apprenticeship, and Medical Assisting. Not valid for OLLI Club Room Fees, OLLI Social Events, OLLI Field Trips, Pedorthist Certificate, Conference Registrations, Summer University (Camps, Before Care, Extended Care), and students using Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, MyCAA or VA benefits. Discount can be applied when registering online, by calling 470-578-6765, or stopping by the Registration office.

CPE Alumni Discount (must have successfully completed a CPE certificate program)

10% discount on certificate programs owned by CPE. Discount can only be applied to the graduate and is not transferable to family members. There is no limit to the number of classes a CPE alumni may take. Third-party online classes are eligible for a 10% discount with a maximum discount of $400.

KSU/SPSU Alumni Discount (must be a graduate of KSU main campus or Marietta campus)

10% discount on certificate programs owned by CPE, with a maximum discount of $500. Discount can only be applied to the graduate and is not transferable to family members. There is no limit to the number of classes a KSU/SPSU alumni may take. Third-party online classes are eligible for a 10% discount with a maximum discount of $400, and excludes continuing education Real Estate courses.

KSU Student Discount (must have been enrolled on campus within last year)

25% discount on certificate programs owned by CPE. Discount can only be applied to the student and is not transferable to family members. There is no limit to the number of classes a KSU student may take. Third-party online classes are eligible for a 10% discount with a maximum discount of $400, and excludes continuing education Real Estate courses.

Employer Education Vouchers

Employer educational or tuition vouchers can be used to pay for enrollment. The voucher must clearly state the student’s name, the employer’s name and address, the class(es) to enroll the student in, and the total amount approved. Course enrollment will be made once the voucher is received. The College of Professional Education will then invoice the employer for payment.

The College of Professional Education does not accept vouchers with restrictions, such as “will not pay until course is over” or “must make a C or better.”

Amazon Employees: Career Choice Program

Employees may use funds from Amazon’s Career Choice Program to pay for continuing and professional education courses. All continuing and professional education courses are eligible under this program. Please contact Lis Hames at 470-578-6784 for more information about using your Career Choice Program funds and to learn how to register for classes.

AmeriCorps Educational Vouchers

Students may use AmeriCorps Educational Vouchers/Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards to pay for continuing education courses. All continuing education courses are eligible under this voucher/award system. Please contact Lis Hames at 470-578-6784 for more information about using your AmeriCorps Education Voucher and to learn how to register for classes.

Verizon Wireless Employees: Letter of Credit Vouchers

Employees may use Verizon Wireless Letter of Credit Vouchers to pay for continuing education courses. All continuing education courses are eligible under this voucher system. Please contact Lis Hames at 470-578-6784 for more information about using your Verizon Wireless Letter of Credit Voucher and to learn how to register for classes.

Loans

There are financial institutions that provide loan options to students needing educational financial assistance. Loans may include tuition, and in some cases, lenders may allow students to borrow additional funds to cover the cost of tuition plus expenses such as books, supplies, and transportation. Loan applicants may be required to have a co-signer, and the loan interest rate will vary according to an applicant’s credit rating.

Their Future Education Loan – Private Parent (or any creditworthy borrower other than the student)

Military Benefits

Active duty and honorably discharged members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and National Guard may qualify for military education benefits. These benefits may provide reimbursement for certificate programs, based upon GI Bill coverage and length of service. Additionally, military spouses interested in pursuing continuing and professional education are eligible for up to $4,000 through MyCAA. Details of Military Educational Benefits.

Payment Plans

The College of Professional Education is proud to offer payment plans for most certificate programs.

Students who wish to enroll in the Medical Assisting Certificate Program, CISCO CCNA Certificate Program, Culinary Apprenticeship Certificate Program, Graphic Web Design Certificate Program, Front End Web Development Certificate, Construction Management Certificate Program, Certified Financial Planner™ Program, and Project Management Certificate Program may choose to utilize a payment plan program. Other certificate programs will be considered for a different payment plan program. No online programs will be considered for a payment plan except for select Human Resources online certificate programs. Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA)

The Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act is a federal grant that covers training expenses for dislocated workers and economically disadvantaged individuals. To apply for the WIOA grant, contact the WIOA Office for the county in which you reside, or the county where you worked when you were laid off from employment. The web addresses for the WIOA County Offices are below.

If your county is not listed or you would like to find the address of the nearest WIOA Office, please visit the Metro Atlanta eXchange for Workforce Solutions website.
The WIOA application process takes several weeks, so please do not delay in getting started. Once WIOA grant approval is awarded by the WIOA Office, contact our Registration office at CPEFinancialAid@kennesaw.edu for a Letter of Acceptance, or by calling 470-578-6765.

WIOA participants are required to take the Basic Skills Assessment. This self-assessment is designed to help you determine if you are prepared to succeed in the course or if there are areas you may need to develop. Follow the instructions to complete the assessment online before enrolling in the course.
