Early Bird Discount
For courses beginning after July 1, 2023, receive a 15% discount on professional certificate programs owned by CPE by registering 2 months or more before the class start date. Register more than 1 month but less than 2 months before the class start date and receive a 10% discount on professional certificate programs owned by CPE. There is no limit to the number of classes that the discount can be used for. We recommend registering early to avoid a $50 dollar late fee. The discount will automatically be applied upon checkout. Third party online classes and Community classes are not eligible for the discount. Discounts cannot be combined. The singular discount with the greatest savings in price will be honored.

Financial Aid

CPE Alumni Discount (must have successfully completed a CPE certificate program)
10% discount on certificate programs owned by CPE. Discount can only be applied to the graduate and is not transferable to family members. There is no limit to the number of classes a CPE alumni may take. Third-party online classes are eligible for a 10% discount with a maximum discount of $400.
KSU/SPSU Alumni Discount (must be a graduate of KSU main campus or Marietta campus)
10% discount on certificate programs owned by CPE, with a maximum discount of $500. Discount can only be applied to the graduate and is not transferable to family members. There is no limit to the number of classes a KSU/SPSU alumni may take. Third-party online classes are eligible for a 10% discount with a maximum discount of $400.
KSU Student Discount (must have been enrolled on campus within last year)
25% discount on certificate programs owned by CPE. Discount can only be applied to the student and is not transferable to family members. There is no limit to the number of classes a KSU student may take. Third-party online classes are eligible for a 10% discount with a maximum discount of $400.
Students/Alumni can verify their KSU enrollment status by doing an enrollment verification or requesting a transcript. It will take the Register 3-5 business days to provide information.

Employer educational or tuition vouchers can be used to pay for enrollment. The voucher must clearly state the student’s name, the employer’s name and address, the class(es) to enroll the student in, and the total amount approved. Course enrollment will be made once the voucher is received. ThThe College of Professional Education to KSU Community and Professional Education will then invoice the employer for payment.
The Community and Professional Education to KSU Community and Professional Education does not accept vouchers with restrictions, such as “will not pay until course is over” or “must make a C or better.”

Amazon Employees: Career Choice Program
Employees may use funds from Amazon’s Career Choice Program to pay for professional education courses. All professional education courses are eligible under this program.
AmeriCorps Educational Vouchers
Students may use AmeriCorps Educational Vouchers/Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards to pay for courses. All courses are eligible under this voucher/award system.
Verizon Wireless Employees: Letter of Credit Vouchers
Employees may use Verizon Wireless Letter of Credit Vouchers to pay for courses. All courses are eligible under this voucher system.
There are financial institutions that provide loan options to students needing educational financial assistance. Loans may include tuition, and in some cases, lenders may allow students to borrow additional funds to cover the cost of tuition plus expenses such as books, supplies, and transportation. Loan applicants may be required to have a co-signer, and the loan interest rate will vary according to an applicant’s credit rating.

Active duty and honorably discharged members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and National Guard may qualify for military education benefits. These benefits may provide reimbursement for certificate programs, based upon GI Bill® coverage and length of service. Additionally, military spouses interested in pursuing continuing and professional education are eligible for up to $4,000 through MyCAA. Details of Military Educational Benefits.

The Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act is a federal grant that covers training expenses for dislocated workers, economically disadvantaged individuals and youth (ages 18-24) with barriers to education. To apply for the WIOA grant, contact the WIOA Office for the county in which you reside, or the county where you worked when you were laid off from employment. The web addresses for the WIOA County Offices are below.
