Know Before You Go

  • What is the difference between CPE Expo and Open House?

    CPE Expo is a biannual event held in January and August. Each Expo features over 25 information sessions led by instructors and program leads, a dedicated career fair, free professional headshots, and exclusive discount opportunities for attendees.

    Open House is held on the first Wednesday of each month. It’s a chance to meet our programming and enrollment teams and get answers to your questions — no registration required.

  • Are there any exclusions to the 20% discount offered during CPE Expo?

    The 20% discount applies to CPE-owned professional classes only and is valid for attendees of CPE Expo. It does not apply to KSU Partner Programs (including Cybersecurity and Data Analytics), third-party partnerships (such as Zipline and Ed2Go), or Community classes (OLLI and IEP). Discounts cannot be combined, transferred, or applied retroactively.

  • How do I use the 20% discount?

    During CPE Expo, attendees receive a discount code. To redeem it, find your desired class, add it to your cart, and click the “Apply Class Code” button at checkout. You can also register in person with our Enrollment team during the Expo.

  • When does the 20% discount expire?

    The Expo discount expires on January 7, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST.

  • Do I have to register to attend CPE Expo?

    No registration is required — walk-ins are welcome! Registering in advance just helps us know how much popcorn to make.

  • Where is CPE Expo held?

    CPE Expo takes place at the KSU Center, not on the main campus. Address: 3333 Busbee Dr NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

  • I want to attend two information sessions that overlap. What should I register for?

    Register for both. You can attend part of each session or attend one live and speak with program representatives at the other table afterward. Registering for both ensures you’ll receive information about both programs.

  • Do I have to be a KSU student to attend?

    No! CPE Expo is open to everyone. You do not need to be a current KSU student or graduate to enroll in our courses.

  • I want to attend but don’t know which session to pick. Can I RSVP without choosing a session?

    Yes — you can RSVP without selecting a specific information session. RSVP for CPE Expo.

  • Will other KSU departments be at CPE Expo?

    Yes. Representatives from Career Planning and Development and the Office of Sustainability will have tables at the event.

  • Who else will have tables at CPE Expo?

    Each program area — including Technology, Management, Legal, Culinary, and Healthcare — will have a table. OLLI students will showcase their artwork. Macy’s will provide beauty makeovers and winter fashion demos. Employers from industries such as healthcare, culinary, retail, architecture, and electrical equipment supply will also be present.

  • Will there be food at CPE Expo?

    Yes! Light refreshments like popcorn and cookies will be available for attendees.

  • What type of employers will be at the Career Fair?

    Employers from healthcare, culinary, retail, architecture, and other professional fields will be in attendance.

  • How can I prepare for the Career Fair?

    Bring your resume and dress professionally. Stop by Macy’s booth for a quick beauty refresh or fashion tips before taking your free professional headshot.

  • I’m an employer or potential sponsor. How can I participate?
