Spanish is Fun! Part II
This course covers Chapters 5-8 contained in Segunda Parte (Part II) of the Textbook (see Required Materials below). These chapters will feature numbers 0-30, which will be important for the lesson on Telling Time. As practice of “ar” verbs continues, students will be introduced to regular “er” and “ir” verbs. A lesson will follow on how to form adjectives when describing others, and students will have “hands-on” experience with certain cultural components. Spanish is Fun! Part III
This course covers selected components from Chapters 9-12 contained in Tercera Parte (Part III) of the Textbook (see Required Textbook below). Students will examine the names of various professions and practice expressing one’s and others' professions. Students will then study how to describe location and temporary conditions of people and things versus permanent traits of people and things. The lesson will expand into a study of the present tense of ir verbs along with a study of expressing actions that are happening in real time. Students will study how to express dates as well as the months of the year. Students will then identify celebrations and events that take place during specific months. Spanish is Fun! parts I-III are required prior to the enrollment of this course. Students will be provided with new vocabulary related to conversation, dining, and vocabulary when travelling.
