We are seeking a highly qualified Medical Assisting Instructor to provide quality and technically relevant instruction in Pharmacy Technician best practices. The instructor will be responsible for teaching a range of key concepts and topics, including the history of medicine and the role of the healthcare team, patient history and care reporting, medical law, ethics, and bioethics, guidelines for keeping client information private, cultural diversity sensitivity, patient scheduling, and admissions procedures, filing procedures, medical records management, financial practices, and procedures, billing procedures, collection techniques, medical office accounting practices, and the role of a medical assistant as a clinic and human resources manager.

OLLI at KSU is always looking for new course ideas to expand the catalog of non-credit, non-degree courses we offer for adults aged fifty (50) and older. OLLI courses are often taught by retired faculty, industry experts, and those who have a talent or skill they would like to teach others in topics ranging from history, literature, arts & crafts, science, foreign languages, health & wellbeing, technology, travel, and more. We also offer classes at several retirement communities in our surrounding area. The schedules are flexible with classes typically meeting once a week for 1.5 to 2 hours and range from 4 to 10-week sessions each quarter.
