Handshake is an all-in-one career management system for our alumni which includes a job board, document/resource library and communication system. Alumni can search and apply for jobs in Handshake and will have their resume reviewed by a staff member.

All CPE students who successfully complete a certificate program are eligible to request a Handshake account. Students with a Handshake account can also RSVP for KSU’s virtual career fairs as well as career development workshops held throughout the year on topics including resume writing, career exploration, networking, LinkedIn, Job Search Tips, Interviewing Skills and more. InterviewStream is a software program that enables individuals to build skills that employers are looking for through mock interviews online. The program helps students gain knowledge and confidence in their interview skills by working on perfecting their pitch and practicing essential soft skills that employers are looking for during the interview process.

Skills to Succeed Academy is a resource that will be available to our students and alumni soon! This program will be offered through our partnership with Accenture and is designed to help individuals build the skills and confidence they need to make smart career choices and find and succeed in employment. The program consists of dozens of interactive modules on topics including Career Exploration, Resume and Cover Letter Writing, Professional Online Presence, Interviewing Skills and skills to help you succeed at the workplace.

At CPE, we want to ensure that our students not only have access to the technical skills needed to do their jobs, but the soft skills employers are looking for and which are needed to be truly successful and advance within the workplace. That is why, through our Executive Education programming, we offer several classroom and mobile learning opportunities that allow you to develop leadership skills and knowledge to take your career to the next level!
