In this course, we continue our journey of learning and move well beyond the basic functions and care of your camera. We take an exciting journey into the world of photography as art and the development of your artistic eye. We talk in depth about composition and find out how to control and use light and shadow. We create art from common objects, learn about portraiture and group arrangement, spend a whole session on photo editing and learn about how to succeed in photo competitions.

Martin Longstaff

Martin Longstaff is a photographer and graphic artist based in North Georgia, USA. Originally from the Highlands of Scotland, Martin has lived, worked and photographed in many corners of the world. This includes being country representative in SE Asia for a company with the sole distribution rights to Nikon and Hasselblad cameras. It also includes owning a large format printing business in San Diego, CA. Martin now runs Thom Creative with clients on both sides of the US.
