The America Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS) course prepares students to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
BLS Provider Manual is required and can be purchased at https://shopcpr.heart.org/bls-provider-manual.

This course is designed for healthcare professionals, other personnel, or anyone who needs or wants to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
