Each course is taught in a classroom setting allowing for interaction with the instructor and other students. Students receive hands-on research experience in our on-site Joe R. Edwards Law Library, conduct a title search in Cobb County, and enjoy enlightening and entertaining guest speakers.
Schedule
The Paralegal Certificate consists of 13 courses. You pay as you go for each course, and we offer both day and evening classes to accommodate your schedule. Paralegal Certificate candidates may enroll in these courses in any order. However, level I courses must be completed prior to taking a respective level II course. In general, each course meets for three hours once a week for six weeks. You may take anywhere from one to four courses per six-week session. If you take two courses each session, you’ll graduate in approximately 12 months. All 13 courses must be completed within 36 months to qualify for the Paralegal Certificate.

Housed in the same room where daytime paralegal classes are held, our new Joe R. Edwards law library serves as a tremendous asset and convenience for both students and instructors. Its namesake, Joe R. Edwards, was widely known as “everyman’s attorney” in Atlanta. He passed away in 1999 at the age of 71.
Employment/Internship
Law firms call us regularly with job and internship openings. We post job opportunities to the Paralegal Information Page. Students are automatically subscribed to this page upon the start of their first class in the program. Qualified applicants contact the employers directly.
