Kennesaw State University Launches Remote Drone Pilot Training Certification Program in Partnership with Alpha Drones USA, Inc.

New program supports workforce development, aerospace expansion, and emerging technology careers

KENNESAW, GA—April 21: Kennesaw State University announced a partnership with Alpha Drones USA, Inc. (ADUSA) to launch a Remote Drone Pilot Training Program. This workforce-development initiative is designed to prepare participants for careers in the rapidly expanding drone industry.

The six-week program gives students the lessons and hands-on training required to earn the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Remote Drone Pilot Certificate. This credential is increasingly in demand across several industries including infrastructure inspection, public safety, agriculture, logistics, and media production.

While seats are limited for the inaugural cohort, the program will offer a learning experience that combines live virtual instruction twice a week, self-paced study, and an in-person, flight-training experience at Kennesaw State University.

The course is ideal for career changers, aspiring entrepreneurs, veterans, and professionals seeking to enter or expand within the drone and aviation industries. College students and lifelong learners are welcome. Information sessions will be held on April 30 at 7 pm and May 13 at 7 pm. The first class begins Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
