Our Office Technology Certificate integrates Windows, Office 365, and current trends in technology to teach you essential computing concepts, the use of cloud and mobile devices, and methods to find and validate research results. Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools, you will gain the skills to become an organized, creative, and effective communicator, while learning to collaborate with others to create content in modern digital environments. Additionally, our program emphasizes online safety, teaching you how to manage your online identity securely.

This course will help you prepare for all 3 levels of the IC3 Digital Literacy Global Standard 6 certification exams. IC3 Digital Literacy Global Standard 6 (GS6) is the latest version of the IC3 Digital Literacy program and is composed of three exams, each awarding its own certificate, that validate an understanding of each domain at the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels.

• Level 1 (basic) – introduces fundamental concepts and essential components.
• Level 2 (intermediate) – builds on the knowledge covered in Level 1 to apply practical abilities to each of the seven domain skills at this level.
• Level 3 (advanced) – focuses on concepts for an advanced understanding of digital literacy and builds a technical foundation of skills and knowledge to succeed in personal, educational, and professional environments.

By the End of the Course, You will be able to:

Requirements: You will need access to a PC computer and the Internet outside of class. You should bring a smartphone or mobile device to class. MAC computers are not recommended.
