Please note that this course helps prepare students to sit for the SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification exam, and information, including application and exam fees, can be found at shrm.org. Certification exam fees are not included in the cost of the course.

With your included access to the SHRM Certification Prep System, you will be able to utilize interactive online study tools, such as pretests, customizable study plans, quizzes that test each body of knowledge area, and a practice exam that simulates the SHRM certification exam. This class allows you the flexibility to enroll as an in-person student or attend online-live.

What Do I Need To Take the Class?
Working knowledge of computers and access to a computer and the internet are required. Some knowledge or experience in HR is highly recommended. If you are new to the HR field, we recommend taking our Fundamentals of Human Resources Management course first.
The course fee includes your textbooks and online access to SHRM Certification Prep System. In-person students will receive the physical copy of their textbook on the first day of class. Online live students will have their books shipped to the address provided at registration. Please note that it takes no less than a week to ship books, so online live registrations made less than a week before class start may not receive their book in time for the first day of class.
Special notice: This class will be delivered online. You will need access to an internet connection that remains stable for the duration of the class. Though a chat feature is available, a microphone is preferred. For most productive audio/video participation, a webcam and/or headset are encouraged. Virtual classes may be recorded, but not guaranteed.

Is this course in-person or online?
- Students have the option to register for in-person or online live. Our online live course is offered at the same time as our in-person classes. The online live class will be streamed from the classroom on the same day/time as the in-person class.

What is expected of me for this course?
- This fast-paced course includes several weekly quizzes and readings. Students should complete the assigned chapters before class to be prepared for discussion.

What is required for successful completion of the course?
- Students must complete the course with an average final grade of 70 or higher and cannot miss more than 2 classes.

What prerequisites are there for this course?
- Students should have a working knowledge of computers, and access to a computer and the Internet are required. It is strongly recommended to have at least one year of Human Resources experience or have taken our Fundamentals of Human Resources course prior to taking this course due to the volume and complexity of the program material. What does the cost of the class include?
- The cost of the class includes class instruction and SHRM-CP/ SHRM SCP Exam Preparation kit which includes the required textbooks and access to an online learning license. The cost of the certification exam is not included.

Does CPE offer financial assistance?

What is the course’s refund policy?
- 100% refund for all withdrawals made three or more business days before the first day of class.
- 80% refund for all withdrawals made one or two business days before the first day of class.
- 0% refund for all withdrawals made the day class begins or anytime following.
